CelcomDigi Launches MobileSHIELD: AI-Powered App Enhances Digital Safety
CelcomDigi has launched MobileSHIELD, an AI-powered mobile security application developed in collaboration with Finnish cybersecurity company F-Secure. This new service is designed to provide Malaysian users with enhanced protection against digital threats such as scams, malicious applications, identity exposures, and privacy risks.
- Scam and Security Protection: Blocks fraudulent websites and scam SMS messages, secures Wi-Fi connections, and provides protection during online browsing, banking, shopping, and downloading activities.
- Identity Monitoring: Alerts users if their personal data is leaked online, enabling timely action to prevent further risks.
- Device Protection: Detects and blocks malware and potentially unsafe applications.
- Privacy VPN: Encrypts internet activity, enhancing privacy, especially when using public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks.
The application is available for download on both Android and iOS devices. Users can subscribe to MobileSHIELD through the Celcom Life or MyDigi applications. The service is offered at a monthly fee of MYR 10, with a discounted rate of MYR 4 per month for users who commit to a 12-month contract. To encourage adoption, CelcomDigi is offering a complimentary one-month trial for new subscribers who register between August 7 and September 18, 2025.
This initiative aligns with CelcomDigi's ongoing efforts to enhance digital safety for its customers. The company has previously launched educational campaigns such as the S.A.F.E. Internet initiative and the annual Trust Circle Forum to raise awareness about online security threats. With the introduction of MobileSHIELD, CelcomDigi aims to provide users with a robust tool to manage and mitigate digital risks effectively.
As part of its commitment to protecting Malaysians in the digital space, CelcomDigi continues to invest in innovative solutions that empower users to take control of their online safety.
