eSIM Go & Vodafone Launch Automated MVNO-in-a-Box for UK Businesses

eSIM Go and Vodafone UK have introduced a new automated MVNO-in-a-box product designed for businesses with subscription-based models to offer mobile services under their own brand. The solution allows retailers, utility companies, fintechs, charities, sports clubs, and other organisations to embed mobile connectivity into their existing sites or apps.

Under the partnership, eSIM Go will leverage Vodafone's network infrastructure to enable these companies to deliver connectivity without the typical setup complexity of traditional MVNOs. Key benefits include minimal upfront cost, fast activation, and low operational overhead.

eSIM Go already works with a broad partner ecosystem including well-known brands such as Western Union, Lufthansa, Uswitch, Wizz Air, and Confused.com. With this new "MVNO-in-a-box" offering, the UK mobile market is opening up to a wider range of B2B and B2C channels that can offer mobile services under their own branding.

Zacc Couldrick, CEO of eSIM Go, stated: "We're very pleased to sign this contract with Vodafone UK and open up MVNO opportunities for everyone … any business with subscribers, customers, employees or followers will be able to offer a variety of UK mobile phone services under their own brand and gain almost as much control as if they were full MVNOs."

Maria Grazia Pecorari, Director of Wholesale and Strategy at Vodafone UK, added that this collaboration underscores Vodafone's commitment to innovation and expanding customer choice. She emphasized that MVNOs help the network ecosystem by offering connectivity through diverse platforms, and that embedded SIM (eSIM) technology accelerates flexibility.

Market research suggests that the adoption of embedded SIMs is rising sharply: CCS Insight forecasts that 56% of smartphones shipped will support eSIM by 2028, up from about 27% the previous year. This trend supports the value and timing of the new MVNO-in-a-box product.
