Orange Jordan Upgrades Broadband Gateway with Nokia's 7750 SR Platform

Orange Jordan has completed a major upgrade of its broadband infrastructure by deploying Nokia's 7750 Service Router (SR) platform at 76 of its Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) locations across northern, central, and southern regions of Jordan. This move is designed to accommodate growing demand from internet, IPTV, and personalized broadband service users.

The enhanced gateway capability allows Orange Jordan to deliver more reliable high-speed connectivity to customers. With Nokia's equipment in place, Orange expects improvements in service performance—especially for bandwidth-intensive applications such as streaming and on-demand video services.

Beyond speed, the upgrade emphasizes sustainability and efficiency. The new routers are more energy-efficient, enabling Orange Jordan to reduce operational expenses while lowering the environmental impact of its network operations.

Waleed Al Doulat, Chief ITN & Wholesale Officer at Orange Jordan, noted that the upgrade aligns with the company's goal of enriching customer broadband experience while embracing growth and sustainability. "Nokia's 7750 SR BNG allows us to enhance network efficiency and enrich our customers' digital lives," he said.
