Orange Launches Quantum-Safe Networking with Toshiba, Secures Sovereign AI with Nvidia

On June 11, 2025, Orange Business announced two transformative partnerships that underscore its leading edge in both cybersecurity and AI innovation.

The first initiative, launched with Toshiba Europe, introduces Orange Quantum Defender, France's first commercial quantum-safe networking service, available now in the greater Paris area. Combining Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)—a layered "defense-in-depth" approach—this solution protects sensitive enterprise data against emerging threats, especially from future quantum computing capabilities.

A major French financial entity has already begun using the service to safeguard data across multiple sites. Previous trials showed that QKD systems could handle high-density cryptographic key exchanges over existing fiber infrastructure without interference from conventional data traffic, dramatically lowering implementation barriers.

Simultaneously, Orange Business solidified its position in the AI domain by joining Nvidia's Cloud Partner Program. This collaboration integrates NVIDIA's GPU-accelerated tech and AI-enabled software into Orange's Cloud Avenue platform. Enterprises across Europe can now deploy scalable, sovereign AI workloads—whether on-premises, hybrid, or via Orange's local data centers—with enhanced performance and privacy.
