Telefónica Tech Integrates Microsoft AI to Elevate 24/7 Cybersecurity Services

Telefónica Tech has struck a deal with Microsoft to incorporate advanced AI tools into its cybersecurity offerings. The integration includes Microsoft's AI-powered security products like Copilot for Security, merged into Telefónica Tech's current suite of services: detection and response, identity and access management, threat intelligence, and data protection.

The upgraded services will be managed through its Digital Operations Centres located in Spain, Colombia, and other regions. Telefónica Tech aims to provide customers with 24×7, integrated, automated, and real-time security management. This opposes older reactive models, seeking instead a proactive posture toward threats.

As part of the partnership, Telefónica Tech will also participate in Microsoft's Responsible AI Innovation Center (RAIIC) in Spain, collaborating with other firms to ensure secure and responsible use of AI. Training programmes, policy frameworks, and governance standards are part of this bid to uphold privacy, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

María Jesús Almazor, COO of Telefónica Tech for Spain and the Americas, said that this cooperation is a milestone. The goal is to boost performance for clients, reduce response times, improve threat detection accuracy, and strengthen identity security.

The deal comes at a time when cyberthreats are increasing globally. Enterprises demand more robust cybersecurity with predictive capabilities, better incident response, and integrated AI tools. Telefónica Tech sees the Microsoft partnership as enabling more advanced, intelligent threat management solutions. For customers, this means stronger protection, faster remediation, and better alignment with international cybersecurity standards.
