    Verizon Earns 'Running on ODA' Accreditation, Enhancing Network Automation

    Verizon has become the 18th telecom operator to earn Running on ODA status from the TM Forum, marking a major leap forward in its network architecture and automation strategy. The announcement was made during the DTW Ignite 2025 event.

    "Running on ODA" recognizes operators that have implemented TM Forum's Open Digital Architecture (ODA) principles — a composable, cloud-native framework built on open APIs that accelerates deployment, improves integration, and reduces reliance on proprietary systems.

    By leveraging its ODA-based North Star Architecture, Verizon has achieved standardized governance, eliminated redundant vendor setups, and significantly streamlined technology integration. The operator reports it has reduced service development timelines by up to six weeks by reusing certified APIs and modular components.

    Sudharsan Srinivasan, SVP of Technology, Security, Governance & Infrastructure at Verizon, stated: "Using TM Forum's ODA framework ensures more than just compliance; it confirms that we've operationalized the industry's blueprint for agility and innovation at scale."

    TM Forum CEO Nik Willetts congratulated Verizon's achievement, saying: "Verizon's achievement is more than a milestone—it's a marker of what's possible when vision meets execution. … Verizon is showing what it means to lead…"

    Verizon joins an elite group, including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Jio, Vodafone, Orange, Telstra, and others, as carriers delivering services powered by modular and composable ODA environments.
