Vodafone Enters Consultancy Strategy Partnership with Azerconnect for Azerbaijan ICT Modernisation
Vodafone Group has inked a partner-market consultancy deal with Azerconnect Group, the largest ICT company in Azerbaijan and part of NEQSOL Holding, to accelerate the country's digital transformation across multiple fronts.
The agreement will see Vodafone providing strategic consulting in network technologies, security operations, commercial service improvement, operational cost optimisation, and value creation. Azerconnect's existing domains include mobile, internet service, international leased lines, fintech, adtech, and media. The consultancy is intended to help bring in best practices, improve quality of service, and modernise the technology stack.
Emil Masimov, CEO of Azerconnect, said the collaboration would help leverage Vodafone's global telecom and business-technology expertise to raise ICT standards in Azerbaijan. Vodafone, via its Partner Markets division, sees this as an opportunity to extend its influence, share innovation, and contribute to front-line improvements in emerging markets.
Vodafone's Regional Head for Middle East, Africa, Caucasus, and Central Asia, Johannes Hummer, emphasised that this fits with Vodafone's strategy of scaling its partner markets business: bringing efficiencies, digital capabilities, and improved customer experience to partner operators.
For Azerconnect, the deal promises faster digitisation in services, improved security posture, more competitive commercial offerings, and cost leverage in infrastructure and operations. While no financial terms were disclosed, benefits are expected to accrue in improved margins, enhanced service delivery, and faster deployment of new ICT services.
