Vodafone & Vcita Launch Productivity App to Help SMEs Automate and Grow

Vodafone Business has teamed up with business software provider Vcita to launch a productivity app designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) streamline operations, reduce manual workloads, and improve business performance. The initiative is part of Vodafone's broader goal to support SMEs in digitising their operations.

Research cited by Vodafone shows that approximately 84% of SMEs still rely on manual methods—such as paper, spreadsheets, or manual invoicing—to manage everyday tasks. On average, SMEs lose about 120 working hours per year handling such manual processes. The new app aims to automate many of these workflows, helping businesses free up time, reduce errors, and focus on growth.

Features include digital invoicing, customer management, appointment scheduling, and tools for tracking payments and customer interactions. The app is pitched to give SMEs "the same productivity advantages that large companies already enjoy," particularly those with limited internal resources for IT or operations.

The app has been launched in Italy with two pricing tiers: a basic "CRM starter" version priced at €45/month, and a more advanced version at €75/month. Vodafone says it plans to roll out the solution progressively in other European markets.

According to Giorgio Migliarina, Interim CEO of Vodafone Business, the partnership with Vcita is part of Vodafone's investment in digital transformation for SMEs, including software, cloud, and cybersecurity services. Migliarina emphasized that SMEs are vital for economic growth and deserve access to tools that help them compete with larger rivals.

Itzik Levy, CEO and Founder of Vcita, also noted that the collaboration marks a shift for Vodafone beyond its traditional telecom role, towards offering full business-management solutions. He expressed enthusiasm about enabling SMEs via technology in areas like scheduling, payments, CRM and customer retention.

For SMEs, this app represents an opportunity to reduce administrative burden, improve cashflow via faster invoicing and follow-ups, and enhance customer relationships. If rolled out across Europe effectively, it could help close the digital productivity gap between small operators and large enterprises.
